Ted talks about making lemonade
At yet another packed Communitech Tech Working Breakfast with the Boss, Ted Hastings, CEO of Moxy Media, took center stage. Pretty much everyone knows the story of Geosign from the perspective of the largest ($160M) VC financing deal in Canada in 2007, and of course, its rapid decline. The day that everything changed for Geosign, the one when the rug got pulled out from underfoot, one has to wonder what was going through the CEO’s head.
Now we know. Ted: “I knew that whatever else it was going to be, I knew it was going to be the most interesting day of my life.” One of the most compelling presentations we’ve ever had, Ted reveals his career path from a master of rapid acquisitions (with no money, no less), the rise and fall of Geosign, and the cornerstones of what Ted learned along the way. You really just have to see it to believe it.
